I'll be flipping between basically memorizing a 16 page business plan for a presentation tomorrow, looking for jobs in LA with my roommate, and Oppo for the next 8 hours.
LA is pipe dream we're desperately trying to make a reality, so this is all going to sound cliche. But I graduate in a week and him next semester. We're quite aware of the realities; we'll be supremely broke, we'll live in a broom closet, jobs will be difficult to find, and dealing with the traffic is akin to sandwiching your face in a hot waffle iron. But we're young (read: stupid and OK with ramen 10x a week) and this could be the only time we ever have to live as bachelors in my favorite city aside from Chicago.
98% of people I talk to on the subject say their biggest regret was not doing something like this after they graduated. I've reached my tipping point with regards to always talking about grandiose ideas and dreams but never attacking them with a full plan and full intentions on actually doing it... Don't take this as a statement expressing a lack of motivation, butI don't care if it ends up as a massively huge ball of flames type failure, I just want to say I tried. Also my end goal is to have a 964 cab with a smashed out front headlight ala Hank Moody.
Have one of favorite 911S's. Sharkwerks just gets it.

Don't forget the crippling student loan debt!

If you have a car, you're half way there. Jobs aren't as hard as everyone makes them out to find here, but don't expect much above minimum wage.

So true... But jack in the box tacos are 2 for 99 cents and there are few things I love more than JIB tacos.

Good to hear. I am glad I stuck around an extra semester to snag a minor in Management along with my major. Who knows if it'll benefit me in any way whatsoever, but it couldn't hurt.

I'm originally from there and basically my entire family lives there still. I've been going to school in South GA for the last 5 years so I've been completely spoiled weather wise. I want to live there at some point for a few years again, but for the time being my motto is Say No To Snow. And my roommate is from Naperville so we're on the same page in that aspect LOL.

Best of luck to you and your roommate. I'll be joining your party (can we call it a party? I'm just going to call it a party so it sounds less scary) next semester as well except in northern California. Do you mind if I ask what your major is and what kind of job you are hoping to get?

More the merrier. I don't know what it is about SoCal, but ever since the couple of trips I took there when I was 13-16 I couldn't stop thinking about how much I loved it. My major is Marketing. I'm also SPIN selling certified so I'm totally OK with a sales job to kick things off, but I would love any kind of entry-level marketing position. My dream would be working with social media marketing and PR. But recent grads with little experience don't exactly get to pick and choose, so I won't be overly particular about what I start my career off doing.

Yeah I know what you mean. I have some relatives down there and I absolutely love visiting SoCal. The weather, the food and the cars are what do it for me. Sounds like you have a pretty solid plan. A lot better than me hahaha. If you need cheap groceries then the asian grocery stores in Westminster are probably a good place to shop (assuming you're close to there). They won't be clean like a SafeWay or Luckys but they'll be cheap and decent quality.

Weather, food, and the car scene are a big part of what's tugging at my sleeve. I don't plan on "settling down" there or trying to raise a family there, so like I said I won't be bummed out if it ends up blowing up in my face and I have to come home. But thanks for the advice, I love asian food in a big way. I just ate sushi for the first time ever a few weeks ago and now I can't stop stuffing my face with it so I was pleased to hear the sushi there is money LOL.

'"Also my end goal is to have a 964 cab with a smashed out front headlight ala Hank Moody." This made me laugh.

JIB tacos are like their own wonderfully cheap food group. They barely resemble tacos and it scares me to think of how they've managed to hold the two for 99 cents pricing for DECADES, but they can be very satisfying.

The level of satisfaction JIB tacos provide increases exponentially with every hour past midnight.
